Together, we can empower the dream by equipping individuals, families, and children through mentorship, teaching, training and resources to obtain brighter futures for themselves and a better community in which to live.

Community Outreach

  • Adopt-A-Block— Vounteer teams knock on doors in Taft Homes and offer goods, services and relationships.
  • Angel Food— Restaurant quality, USDA approved groceries offered at a substantially reduced rate.
  • English as a Second Language (ESL)— Informal, interactive classes taught by volunteer tutors.
  • FAITH Warehouse— “Furniture, Appliances In Their Homes.” Accepting material goods and redistributing them to those in need.
  • HOPE Store— “Helping Other People, Everyday.” Accepts and redistributes clothing, toiletries, baby items, bedding, etc.
  • Ladies Night Out— Women are invited to make crafts, bake and share life skills with new friends. Free materials provided.
  • Life Center— Empowered to achieve goals through equipping, resourcing, training and education. COMING SOON!
  • Mission Peoria— Week-long mission trip to the inner-city of Peoria. Service and outreach in projects, events and programs.
  • Short Term Missions— Volunteer teams serve on projects and offer outreach through events and programs in the inner-city. COMING SOON!

Athletic Programs

  • Basketball— Participants are mentored by coaches who oversee skills training, practices, and games. League play for children. Each time the leagues meet, DCP’s Athletic Coordinator leads a Biblical devotion for participants to encourage sportsmanship, build character and self-esteem. Open gym play is available for adults.
  • Hung Gar Kung Fu & Chi Kung— Trinity Training Center partners with DCP to offer Hung Gar (Southern Chinese style) Kung Fu & Chi Kung (Chinese exercise) classes to unlock participant’s true potential by training body, mind and spirit.
  • Indoor Soccer— Participants are mentored by coaches who oversee skills training, practices, and games. League play for children. Each time the leagues meet, DCP’s Athletic Coordinator leads a Biblical devotion for participants to encourage sportsmanship, build character and self-esteem. Open gym play is available for adults.
  • Racquetball & Squash League— Novice to advanced players are invited to participate. Beginner clinic is available upon request.
  • Volleyball— Participants enjoy open gym play and have an opportunity to meet new friends and get some exercise.

Children & Youth Programs

  • Backpack Peoria— Free backpacks filled with school supplies are distributed to Peoria area children. An EXPO is also held to showcase organizations, ministries and programs within the community.

  • Metro Kidz— High energy event team brings a mobile stage into Taft Homes and offers games, music, live entertainment, candy, prizes and Gospel message.
